Reducing Recidivism
Formerly incarcerated individuals are ten times more likely to fall into homelessness than the general public and often find themselves with few resources and supports - leading to a repetitive cycle of arrests and more. Through unique collaborations, we can find solutions.
Unaccompanied Homeless Youth
Without the right help, today’s unaccompanied homeless youth will become the next generation of chronically homeless adults in our region.
Opioid Crisis Response
By breaking the chain of repeat overdoses in our region, we can save lives, reunite families, and reduce the need for costly medical and social services.
Past Work: Feeding Hungry Families
Between Sarasota and DeSoto counties, almost 60,000 people don’t always know where their next meal will come from. At least one in four of them is a child.
Past Work: Financial Sustainability
Our new partnership with United Way Suncoast is moving families out of generational poverty by increasing their financial literacy, improving their decision-making, and providing them access to real financial assets.
Past Work: Homeless Children and Families
As many as 1,000 Sarasota County schoolchildren are identified as homeless every year. Our partnership with local social-service agencies and generous donors has transformed the safety net for these kids and their families.
