Kristen Theisen, CFRE, is a dynamic leader in strategic communications, philanthropy, and leadership development. As the Founder and CEO of Amplify Connections Consulting, she empowers organizations and individuals to harness their strengths, articulate their vision, and inspire action. Kristen is passionate about amplifying voices and delivering transformative impact with creativity, dedication, and integrity.
Kristen has dedicated much of her 20+ years of professional experience to advancing the missions of nonprofit organizations. She began her career at Ruder Finn Public Relations and Feld Entertainment before transitioning to philanthropy, where she held leadership roles including Chief Philanthropy Officer, Director of Advancement and Stewardship, and Director of Development. Kristen led teams in executing successful campaigns that raised millions in revenue and spearheaded marketing initiatives to elevate community awareness.
As a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) for over a decade, Kristen is committed to ethical and high-performance fundraising. She is a Certified Facilitator through the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and a Licensed Practitioner of Insights® Discovery, a global model for enhancing communication and team dynamics. A former board member of AFP Southwest Florida, she remains an active member.
Originally from a suburb of Cleveland, OH, Kristen attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. In 2005, she traded snowy Chicago, IL for sunny Southwest Florida. When she’s not working, Kristen enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two teenage sons.
