An Unforgettable Recognition

It’s team meeting day at Gulf Coast! Whether in our new downtown Sarasota Philanthropy Center or our Venice Headquarters, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation team meets regularly to share wins, celebrate one another, and learn more about what each department is working on. The halls of the office are bustling with smiling faces, eager and excited for the meeting and for the work they do for the foundation. It’s electric. Everyone is upbeat, positive, and charged with energy to tackle the day’s affairs. There is a general sense of comradery, kindness, and truly caring for one another that can be felt all around. It’s truly the best kind of excitement and environment.

At Gulf Coast, we have worked hard over the years to build our incredible culture which is based on our mission, vision, and values. Together with our generous donors, supportive Board of Directors, and strong nonprofit partners, we transform our region through bold and proactive philanthropy. We have cultivated a team of bright leaders and we give them the unlimited potential to excel in their positions.

We are honored to announce that for the sixth time, The NonProfit Times has recognized Gulf Coast as one of the country’s “Best Nonprofits To Work For.” The national publication ranked Gulf Coast 17th on its 2023 list of the 50 “Best Nonprofits To Work For” which was published in a special report on April 1. We placed 12th on the Small Employer Category (15 to 49 employees). We also received the “Best Nonprofit To Work for” recognition in 2010, 2011, 2017, 2020, and 2021.

The “Best Nonprofits” program, conducted annual by The NonProfit Times, is designed to identify the best employers in the nonprofit sector and recognize leadership and strategies that can benefit the sector and those it serves. The results are based on a rigorous survey process open to nonprofits across the country.

It also shows the strength of our team,” concluded Pritchett.

“As an organization whose essence is to serve and improve our region, having an engaged, empowered, and supported team translates directly into meeting our mission, vision, and values,” said Gulf Coast’s Chief Operating Officer, Veronica Thames. “Our team rises above and beyond to provide meaningful impact to our communities every single day. I am thrilled and honored that we have received this special recognition,” concluded Thames.
