Nonprofit boards in our region say they are holding more productive meetings, raising more money, and leading their organizations more effectively thanks to the training and resources provided by Building Better Boards. This ongoing initiative of the Foundation promotes good board governance in our nonprofit community and offers organizations tools and resources for continued board development.

In today's climate of increased scrutiny and accountability, Building Better Boards  is helping organizations improve their oversight to accomplish their mission and strengthen their organizations for the future.

More than 1,100 board members from 80 organizations in our community have completed a Board Online Self-Assessment developed by the Foundation. Thirty-four of these organizations went on to complete comprehensive board training. The Foundation also continues to provide grants and other resources to help individual organizations further develop and improve their boards.
