David and Tanner Sobelman
David and Tanner Sobelman decided they would begin to establish their legacy the year they married.
Influenced from a young age by countless people in their own lives, the couple realized that others don't always have the same opportunities for exposure to different cultures, races, and creeds. Through Wellspring, their fund at the Foundation, David and Tanner support programs like Anytown, a leadership and diversity awareness camp for high-schoolers operated by Community Tampa Bay.
The Sobelmans help children see how surface differences give way to common bonds when we choose to look deeper. "Understanding that there are people from many backgrounds will encourage them to be insightful, accepting, and intuitive to issues surrounding them," they say.
While David and Tanner's work through Wellspring looks to the future of the young lives they touch, their giving provides satisfaction today. "The feedback we get from the children usually gives us chills," say the Sobelmans. "It's obvious that we have contributed to changing their lives forever."
